Phishy Phriday - Acoustic Edition

So Phish just announced they're going to play an all acoustic set on Sunday @ noon during Festival 8. Sounds pretty awesome to us, except SDSG doesn't go to bed until the sun comes up at these festivals. How in the heck are we supposed to be up & at em' by high noon, especially after two days of raging?? Well...if the set is anything like the below track from the Bridge School benefit in 98' - we are in for a real treat

Jordan's Hall of Fame Speech

Loved how the whole thing centered around finding motivation through anything & everything. Jordan being the ultimate competitor was always looking for something to fire him up. How bout the story of Utah Jazz guard Byron Scott telling Jordan if he ever came out of retirement & saw him in shorts again he'd 100% wup em'. Fast forward to game seven two years later with MJ whispering in his ear "remember the if I see you in shorts comment?? Well now's your chance.

He concluded his speech with this :"Limits like fears, are often just an illusion"

Whoa, what a weekend. Karl Denson @ the Bowl on Friday. Wild Bill's bachelor party on Saturday @ Yankee Stadium > boat cruise around Manhattan. SunALLday football & the NY Giants starting things off right > Sunday evening @ my girls place watching the True Blood finale & the VMA's (Kanye, Guy! - what the eff were you thinking??) All in all...a real good time.
