Gen Art Film Fest Recap

The 09' Gen Art Film Fest officially came to a close on Tuesday & by all accounts was a resounding success. I attended(3) of the films,'Gigantic','Peter & Vandy' (which was my favorite) & 'Picture Me'. I also was tasked with producing a few different Acura car activations at both at our opening and closing night after parties.

Opening night's promotion revolved around guests receiving a brief demonstration of an Acura TL's navigation and audio system where upon completion they received an branded (1) Gig USB wristband, giving them access to the V.I.P. party upstairs. With a a mix of catered food, champagne, Wii tennis & masseuses for their aching selves, this was definetely the place to be.

Closing night was similar, but by getting into the car, guests were automatically entered into a prize offering of a trip for (2) to the Chicago Film Fest in June. Pretty nice indeed. Also at the closing night after party, major cash prizes were given to the best films of the festival, which were ultimatelly decided upon by the audience and judging panel consisting of filmmakers and uber important peoples. 'My Suicide' won both the Audience's Award & Best Film overall. The best short went to 'Adelaide' (which I also saw - & was awesome!)

Of course there war an after after party - which consisted of a bunch off all-stars shaking their bones till the wee hours and rejoicing in the notion that they would be able to sleep in for the first time in who knows how long.
