Interesting
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, (i.e., the "business cycle") the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." - Thomas Jefferson
Coheed & Cambria w/ Warren Haynes Clip
"Over the weekend Coheed & Cambria closed out the New York run of their current tour in which they are performing all four of their releases over four nights. On hand at Terminal 5 for final show (No World For Tomorrow) was Warren Haynes. He sat in with the group for a version of "I Shall Be Released” and then returned for the band's “Welcome Home” encore"

Monday Blues / Weekend Recap
Monday Monday. Hopefully ur doing alright and aren't hurting too bad from the weekends festivites. Highlights for us included an awesome Saturday night of music, with Minus the Bear bringing their amazing sound / set to Webster Hall. This was the third time seeing this band for me & was by far their best showing.
After they closed, we shot back to the apt > a few drinks > back into a late-night Crystal Method DJ set. The place was filled with too many tweakers, 20 min was long enough. Moving into Sunday, we pretty much stayed indoors and watched football All / Day / Long. Big L brought little Wes over the for the Jet game & the kid is straight adorable. Soon after the games conclusion, they left me to watch the NY football Giants play their most exciting game of the year against the Steelers.
Final score - Giants 21 - Steelers 14.......Bring on Dallas baby! oh yeah

Thursday LOST Post
Lost could be one of the best shows ever made. Seriously. Every episode I've watched since season (1) has left me picking my jaw up-off the floor. Judging by this promo trailer for the upcoming 09' season, things are going to get even better / more interesting. Is that even possible?

Two For Tuesday : Fleet Foxes Edition
Been a minute. Here's two awesome video clips, both from one of my new favorite bands, The Fleet Foxes.
The 1st song is called " He Doesn't Know Why". The 2nd is White Winter Hymnal. Very nice indeed.

Wednesday: Yom Kippur
Well today is Yom Kippur, which is for us Jewish folk means the "Day of Atonment".
"Yom Kippur is the tenth and final day of the Ten Days of Repentance, which begins with Rosh Hashanah. According to Jewish tradition, God inscribes each person's fate for the coming year into a "book" on Rosh Hashanah and waits until Yom Kippur to "seal" the verdict. During the Ten Days of Repentance, a Jew tries to amend his behavior and seek forgiveness for wrongs done against God and against his fellow man."
No eating. No drinking until sundown tonight. Yeah man

Therrre Baaaack!
Here. We. Go. Phish announced today that after a 5 year hiatus, they are re-uniting with (3)scheduled performances @ the Hampton Coliseum March 6th, 7th & 8th 2009. More dates to follow. The news however is bittersweet for this hippy, as the dates coincide with the Langerado Music Festival. I just cannot believe that out of 365 days, Phish's booking agents had to pick the same ones the Langerado folks. WTF!??
Guess I'm just going to have to wait until the festival lineup is announced to make my decision. Until then, expect a bunch of Phishy posts / jamz.
