Two For Tuesday: See Ya Round Edition

Photobucket

Today is a sad day here @ the SDSG headquarters. Our beloved Jeremy Shockey was traded yesterday to the New Orleans Saints for a few late round 09' draft picks. Shockey epitomized everything one could want in a football player. Guy was a flat out leader - & the Giants were better off with him on the field. Following his season ending injury last year, the the teams upper mgmt barred him from joining his teammates on the sidelines during the Superbowl, a tell tale sign of things to come & a fucked up thing to do to a player who gave the team everything he had while he was on the field.

I just really loved the way the Shockey played..... Balls to the wall / Hard nose football. The Guy was born to be a Giant...now he's a Saint??

It's too bad Shockey's gone, but life goes on.

It's time to see what Kevin Boss and the SUPAH BOWL CHAMPS are made of!

Flat out leaders don't throw their teammates under the bus, yell for the ball and generally act like a bitch when they don't get the ball. He was the MAN on the field. And made the Giants better, NO QUESTION. But flat out leader? Wow. We have COMPLETELY different defintions of leaders. Eli was the true leader of the offense. Leaders don't spend their offseason in SouthBeach while the rest of the boys are running the stairs at Giants stadium.

And all you JINT fans better enjoy the next month...cause once the FIRST GAME HITS.....Last year doesn't mean SHIT. Can't'\ ever take it away from you, don't get me wrong. But for this year? Means nothing.

They barred him from the sidelines, cause the guy didn't attend any playoff games, and didn't get to Phoenix till the day before the big game. Now he wants to be on the sidelines for the SuperBowl?

You need to buck up and do some research son. Or the berations and will continue.

Stop hiding behind your Anonymous profile comments!

**The guy didnt throw anyone under the bus. He wanted the friggin ball and the offensive coordinators would not get it to em. Can't blame em for that. As far as leader goes, you ask any of his teamtes and they would agree - he was a leader on the field and in the locker room.

Re: Research. I've done it. The guy was in massive physical therapy sessions... The team told me point blank they preferred he not go as they did not want distractions. When they made the Big Dance - he should have been there with his teammates. PERIOD

your effing google/blogger thing keeps rejecting my name. I think everyone knows this is the largeman, aka timmy nash.

Guy. You want the friggin ball? There's better ways than publicly humiliating your qb,head coach and offensive coordinator. Like say, behind closed doors? As someone who did play football, and had 55 other teammates...that shit is not cool and is frowned a upon. So SupdudeSupGuys OPINION is he didn't throw anyone under the bus. Do you root for the name of the front of the Jersey, or the name on the back? Cause I know which on e I root for.

Did you ask any of his teammates? Seems to me. All I heard last year was " We wish he was here working out with us" in the offseason.

I said it. The giants are better WITH him. But they also won WITHOUT him.

Nice research quotes. Something tells me if you actually found quotes from the Giants upstairs.....they wouldn't jive with Shockey's.

Yes, you can never take away last year. But for the rest of the giant fans who read this blog...you better hope the Giants have a better frame of mind, than the author here does. Cause "team to beat" and "super bowl champs"......goes right out the F*CKING WINDOW when they line up that Thur night. If they rely on last year....they'll get their faces kicked in THIS year.

I wasn't happy when the Pats lost Ganstar Milloy, or hall-of-fame bound Ty Law....But they did and won after they left.

To each their own, but if you really care about SHockey, buy a Saints jersey. IF you care about the Giants.....You should trust management. Cause without their knowledge and signings.....you wouldn't be able to pound your "Childs Large" Strahan wearing Jersey CHEST.

But Brother-man.

I respect the Sh*T outta your opinion.

And if we all liked the same things, wore the same things, thought the same way, Agreed all the time...well.....This would be ONE BORING world.
