Thursday You Look Good

Photobucket

It's Thursday baby and there is ALOT going on at SDSG. Lets first start with a weekend recap shall we. Labor day weekend: What a blast! - We spent the time out in CT loungin by the pool, playin drinking games, grilling out & boatin with friends. Couldn't have asked for a better close-out to summer 08' - NICE

After spending a few more days away from the blog, we return today with the start of the NFL season. The NYC Giants open up their Superbowl defense against the Washington Skinnyz. Prediction?? 23 - 17 ..GO GINTS!

Now on to last nights RNC speeches. Did anyone else notice how bad Rudy Giuliani was slurring his words?? He must of had botox injections, cause his cheeks were straight frozen. I really can't stand his attack dog style, which ultimatelly came off comical at times. Although I feel Giuliani had some very valid points on Obama's experience, his speech mad me cringe more than once. If he brings up 9/11 one more time.....ugh

Sarah Palin absolutely gave the speech of a lifetime - showing she has the mettle to go up against the Democrats, while clearly defining her positions thoughout. Although I disagree with many of them, I was impressed with how she held her own up there. Now, lets see how she handles the media questioning outside the RNC comfort zone. IMO - there are wayyy to many potential scandal-kegs out there that could potentially blow up down the line.

In closing - lets hope hurricane Hannah doesn't head up to New England this weekend....cause I don't think the area can handle TWO Category 4 storms! AND yes -Trip Dogg's bachelor party is considered a Category 4!

Guy, Guy...

PALIN: "I have protected the taxpayers by vetoing wasteful spending ... and championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. I told the Congress 'thanks but no thanks' for that Bridge to Nowhere."

THE FACTS: As mayor of Wasilla, Palin hired a lobbyist and traveled to Washington annually to support earmarks for the town totaling $27 million. In her two years as governor, Alaska has requested nearly $750 million in special federal spending, by far the largest per-capita request in the nation. While Palin notes she rejected plans to build a $398 million bridge from Ketchikan to an island with 50 residents and an airport, that opposition came only after the plan was ridiculed nationally as a "bridge to nowhere."

PALIN: "There is much to like and admire about our opponent. But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform — not even in the state senate."

THE FACTS: Compared to McCain and his two decades in the Senate, Obama does have a more meager record. But he has worked with Republicans to pass legislation that expanded efforts to intercept illegal shipments of weapons of mass destruction and to help destroy conventional weapons stockpiles. The legislation became law last year. To demean that accomplishment would be to also demean the work of Republican Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana, a respected foreign policy voice in the Senate. In Illinois, he was the leader on two big, contentious measures in Illinois: studying racial profiling by police and requiring recordings of interrogations in potential death penalty cases. He also successfully co-sponsored major ethics reform legislation.

PALIN: "The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes, raise payroll taxes, raise investment income taxes, raise the death tax, raise business taxes, and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars."

THE FACTS: The Tax Policy Center, a think tank run jointly by the Brookings Institution and the Urban Institute, concluded that Obama's plan would increase after-tax income for middle-income taxpayers by about 5 percent by 2012, or nearly $2,200 annually. McCain's plan, which cuts taxes across all income levels, would raise after tax-income for middle-income taxpayers by 3 percent, the center concluded.

Obama would provide $80 billion in tax breaks, mainly for poor workers and the elderly, including tripling the Earned Income Tax Credit for minimum-wage workers and higher credits for larger families.

He also would raise income taxes, capital gains and dividend taxes on the wealthiest. He would raise payroll taxes on taxpayers with incomes above $250,000, and he would raise corporate taxes. Small businesses that make more than $250,000 a year would see taxes rise.

MCCAIN: "She's been governor of our largest state, in charge of 20 percent of America's energy supply ... She's responsible for 20 percent of the nation's energy supply. I'm entertained by the comparison and I hope we can keep making that comparison that running a political campaign is somehow comparable to being the executive of the largest state in America," he said in an interview with ABC News' Charles Gibson.

THE FACTS: McCain's phrasing exaggerates both claims. Palin is governor of a state that ranks second nationally in crude oil production, but she's no more "responsible" for that resource than President Bush was when he was governor of Texas, another oil-producing state. In fact, her primary power is the ability to tax oil, which she did in concert with the Alaska Legislature. And where Alaska is the largest state in America, McCain could as easily have called it the 47th largest state — by population.

MCCAIN: "She's the commander of the Alaska National Guard. ... She has been in charge, and she has had national security as one of her primary responsibilities," he said on ABC.

THE FACTS: While governors are in charge of their state guard units, that authority ends whenever those units are called to actual military service. When guard units are deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, for example, they assume those duties under "federal status," which means they report to the Defense Department, not their governors. Alaska's national guard units have a total of about 4,200 personnel, among the smallest of state guard organizations.

FORMER ARKANSAS GOV. MIKE HUCKABEE: Palin "got more votes running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska than Joe Biden got running for president of the United States."

THE FACTS: A whopper. Palin got 616 votes in the 1996 mayor's election, and got 909 in her 1999 re-election race, for a total of 1,525. Biden dropped out of the race after the Iowa caucuses, but he still got 76,165 votes in 23 states and the District of Columbia where he was on the ballot during the 2008 presidential primaries.

FORMER MASSACHUSETTS GOV. MITT ROMNEY: "We need change, all right — change from a liberal Washington to a conservative Washington! We have a prescription for every American who wants change in Washington — throw out the big-government liberals, and elect John McCain and Sarah Palin."

THE FACTS: A Back-to-the-Future moment. George W. Bush, a conservative Republican, has been president for nearly eight years. And until last year, Republicans controlled Congress. Only since January 2007 have Democrats have been in charge of the House and Senate.

Is it ia great speech if it's lies??

I do find it troubling as a New Yorker, you have so much distain for Rudy. In case you missed it, David Dinkens Fucked New York up almost beyond repair. Rudy did more for NYC, than most mayors COULD EVER DREAM of. He cleaned up the streets, lowered taxes for all, pushed the private sector, helped curb the mob, and made NYC the safest big city in the country. He wasn’t perfect, but maybe throwing the man a bone for all his good work, would be nice. . New Yorkers all across the board PRAISED Rudy for his work after 9/11. I don’t like him only talking about it either. But many people have forgotten. It’s either we treat terrorism like a police matter, funnel 30 billion$$ to the likes of NorthKorea to NOT develop Nukes ( what the eff do you think they used it for? Thanks Jimmy Carter for going over and checking), or we take it head on. Rudy pumps that 9/11 speech way too much. But listening to the democrats speak, they seem to be more worried about “World Opinions” and “improving” our relationships across the globe, than to stepping up and defending THIS country.. Those countries have hated us forever. No matter who was in office. We’ve just decided to hit back this time. Research Neville Chamberlin ( PM of Britian) and see how successful he was talking with Hitler. He came back to Britian waving a piece of paper Hitler signed, that war and what was about to take place, could all be avoided. Hitler did what he pleased anyhow. A piece of fucking paper?

Did Bush do a good job? Hell no. And many things were wrong with the war. But I try and listen to Actual Military personal give updates on the progress.. and not the likes of Keith Olberman, Chris Matthews, etc, WHO CLEARILY have an agenda.

What scandals involving Pallin? That she has a pregnant 17 year old? That she’s spoken out of both sides of her mouth in the past? What politician hasn’t?
It sounds to me like you are wishing ( along with every other Effing News Outlet, with the exception of FoxNews, which is comedy, cause how rightwing they are) more things come up. I find it downright hilarious, feminists and other groups have pushed for AGES to have a women in this position. But if she doesn’t follow LOCKSTEP with Liberals, she is shunned and all of a sudden personal family issues are OK for campaigns. Clinton preached family values also. Effing PREACHED them.

I’m real thrilled for you and for all the fans out there, that they feel so passionate about the election. My advice? Let’s look at the voting records. While I am not a fan of McCain AT ALL. Please understand that.. Obama is the most inexperienced( his running mates exact words a white back)/liberal leaning member of the senate. I look at his voting record and don’t see one thing I like. As a person who was adopted, I see his stance and it makes me cringe. While I would NEVER tell a woman, what she could or couldn’t do with her body, He supports measures that make Hillary look conservative. Abortion is touchy, and I would never tell women what to do, but….His stance is beyond acceptable. He wants ZERO restrictions ( when a kid can’t get an aspirin at school at 15 without a written note for her folks, but can get an abortion, I think that’s wrong), he is as extreme as the Christian Crowd who want to tell women what they can or can’t do.

As a small business owner, it would do ZERO justice to myself or my clients, supporting this man. He will raise taxes, he will raise ALL CAPITAL GAIN TAXES, and he thinks you can pass the peace pipe around the table, with people who VOWED to kill every last one of us. Islamic Fundamentalists declared war on Western Civ, especially the USA, MANY years ago. It’s time we all relieved that.

· "If the Democrats think we're going to be able to nominate someone who can win without that person being able to table unimpeachable credentials on national security and foreign policy, I think we're making a tragic mistake…" (Sen. Joe Biden, "The Diane Rehm Show," 8/2/07)
· Biden On Obama's Leadership On Iraq: "I Don't Recall Hearing A Word From Barack About A Plan Or A Tactic." (Jason Horowitz, "Biden Unbound: Lays Into Clinton, Obama, Edwards," The New York Observer, 2/4/07)

I respect the hell out of your opinion. And I don’t pretend to have all the answers. I can’t in good conscience support either candidate and lap up everything they say. McCain is not conservative and is a hothead, and is very inexperienced with the economy. I usually refrane from politics talk. This country would be a boring one if we all felt the same. And healthy discussion is what it’s all about.

Lunch is over.

And Dogg’s bachelor party is a Category 5!!!

The only speeches you two should be worrying about is the one you're gonna give on Saturday night! In fact, I just got off the phone with Jimmy James and he said, "If you two don't shut the F*CK up about politics and enjoy some kick a$$ rock 'n roll, he's going to personally barack the sh*t out of you and then pallin your azz!" MMJ's campaign slogan... "GET WITH IT IN '08!"

Good day, sun shines!
There have were times of troubles when I didn't know about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright pessimistic person.
I have never thought that there weren't any need in big starting capital.
Now, I feel good, I started take up real income.
It gets down to choose a proper companion who uses your funds in a right way - that is incorporate it in real business, and shares the income with me.

You can get interested, if there are such firms? I'm obliged to tell the truth, YES, there are. Please be informed of one of them:
